Early Surprises in the World Alpine Dice League!

A new season has started last week, and it wasn’t without surprises. The 24/25 season of the World Alpine Dice League (WADL) has already dealt us some jaw-dropping moments. The action has been nothing short of breathtaking—and hilarious for those who thrive on the unexpected.

Champions in Trouble? Both of last season’s champions are finding themselves on the wrong side of the scoreboards early on. In the Minor League, the Ischgl Chillers faced a chilly reception as the Albuquerque Sharpshooters snatched a 3-2 victory, leaving fans wondering if the Chillers have traded their ice-cold nerves for lukewarm dice. Not to be outdone, the Major League champions, the Fujisan Heroes, were given a reality check by none other than the Randa Riot. The Riot stormed in and rolled away with a commanding 4-1 win, making it clear that their sights are set high this season.

Meanwhile, the Zermatt Sky Sox, playing without this year’s in-person-off-the-grid champion, are off to a shaky start, dropping their first two games. Amid all these challenges, the Matterhorn region solidified its reputation as the epicenter of Alpine Dice Excellence. The Mattertal High Rollers made an impressive entrance, toppling the Unterjoch Overlords and Loveland Thunder. Not to be overshadowed, the Taesch Phantoms demonstrated their strength with decisive wins over Big Sky Red Blox and Oetztal Yetis, showcasing early dominance.

Drama? We’re just getting started the season is long, and if the opening week is any indication, we’re in for a wild ride. Upsets, comebacks, and high-altitude drama—this is shaping up to be a season where no roll is taken for granted. So buckle up, alpine dice fans, and stay tuned. The stakes are high, the mountains are higher, and the drama couldn’t be any more intense.

The season has only just begun—and it’s already an uphill battle!
