As the alpine leaves turn and the dice start rolling again, the World Alpine Dice League (WADL) gears up for another thrilling season of precision, performance, and pure probability.

A New Era Begins
The 2025/26 season officially kicks off on October 31st, and with it comes a significant shift in the lineup: the Heidelberg Cubist Society (HDC) is joining the Minor League as a full competitor, replacing the Feldberg Skyliners, who, after months of negotiation, were unable to secure new ownership and financial stability.
While it’s always tough to see a founding team step aside, GADA/WADL remains committed to ensuring competitive integrity and the continued evolution of Alpine Dice.
Welcome, Heidelberg!
Fresh from a victorious appeal and reinstatement earlier this year, the Heidelberg Cubist Society steps onto the WADL stage with renewed energy and undeniable artistry. Known for their geometric precision and unorthodox altitude tactics, HDC brings a dynamic blend of strategy and creativity that promises to shake up the standings from day one.
“High scores come from high vision and even higher commitment,” says HDC captain Adam “Lance” Lovelock, reflecting on the team’s return. “There’s a lot of pressure on me but I welcome it. I think HDC can go far this season. We’ve been training hard and getting alpine status has given the team new fire in their bellies, we’re here to elevate the game — in spite of what preceded, we’re high again.”
The Road Ahead
Season 25/26 will feature:
• Enhanced scoring metrics for precision stats and elevation-adjusted performance.
• Significant improvements , clarity and presentation make the daily listings and tables more coherent and user-friendly.
• Transparency and innovation, as the league refines elevation rules and team eligibility criteria under the D.I.C.E. oversight framework.
The countdown is on. The dice are polished. The mountains are calling.
